As Director of University Experience at CI over the last year, I have learned loads about how it is that we learn, how the brain works. Even though I've been teaching at the university level since 1996, much of what I have been learning is revelation. Some of what I've come to do as I've gotten more comfortable in the room as the supposed "expert" -- turning more class time over to students to teach each other, for example -- turns out to be just the ticket, right on track (all these transportation metaphors, runs in the family, but that's another story).
This blog is a practice site to see how we can use this in the University Experience program to further learning about learning and to share what we learn with others.
